Metro Art invites artists and artist teams working in digital media to apply to the 2022 Artist Pool for Digital Media Opportunities.
Metro first introduced digital displays in rail stations that included dedicated space for public art in 2019. Since that time, public art programming to enhance transit areas with dynamic moving image art has increased! Metro Art is now establishing an Artist Pool for Digital Media specifically for these specialized opportunities.
Spaces to showcase artwork on current and future digital displays in the transit environment of Metro stations include large-format screens and information panels. Work may include licensed or commissioned video, animation, stop-motion, experimental film, artistic performance documentation, and other forms of digital media artwork.
We are based in Los Angeles, but the pool is open to anyone legally authorized to work in the US.
To learn more about the artist pool and current project locations, visit metro.net/art and subscribe to the Art Opportunities email list for updates.
Submissions are due by Wednesday, September 14, at 11:59pm (PDT).
