Artadia Awards
2022 Los Angeles Awards
These awards are open to visual artists and collectives who have lived and worked in LA County for at least two years. Two artists will receive $10,000 each while a third will get $25,000. Artadia will give awards to artists in six more US cities this year, see their website for details.

Eyebeam
Eyebeam Center for the Future of Journalism
Artists and artist-journalist teams can apply for grants to support topical work. Those with longer-term, research-intensive projects are also eligible. Grants range from $500–$5,000 per project.

Foundation for Contemporary Arts
Emergency Grants
These monthly grants range from $500–$3,000, with the average amount being $1,700. Visual and performing artists whose work is of a contemporary, experimental nature and who have a US Tax ID Number can apply.

Frankenthaler Climate Art Awards
Asia Society and the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation will award $15,000 each to three visual artists whose work addresses the climate crisis and who are enrolled in or recent graduates of MFA programs in the US. Applications open on January 10.

Artist Research Fellowship
Artists working in all media whose work would benefit from significant primary research can apply for this four-week non-residential fellowship, which comes with an award of $3,500.

2022 Fellowship
Applications are open for this funded fellowship program for Indigenous artists, scholars, organizers, cultural workers, researchers, and educators. Six individuals will each receive $25,000 and more.

Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 Fellowships
Artists can submit applications in the disciplines of architecture, film/video, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts. Financial assistance programs are available.

PEN America
Emerging Voices Fellowship
This virtual five-month mentorship program is for early-career writers from communities that are traditionally underrepresented in the publishing world. 12 fellows will receive an honorarium of $1,500.

USA Fellowship
Formerly incarcerated artists working in all creative disciplines can apply for this fellowship to support a project aimed at reforming the criminal justice system. Six fellows will each be awarded $20,000.

2022 Residencies
Artists working as duos can propose visual and sonic projects within the Transmission Arts genre for this 10-day residency, which involves broadcasting on a community radio station in the Hudson Valley.
